MG MGF Technical - plastic throttle body?

Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a 52mm plastic throttle body? i have seen alloy ones but nevar heard of a plastic one being made, thanks

I was thinking about upgrading from a 48mm type, and i just wondered if a plastic 52mm was ever made, thanks for the response,

why go for the plastic version over the alloy one? I heard the plastic ones sometimes stick?

As Martin says,
Why go for a plastic bodied throttle barrel? My one was replaced after 6000 miles from new under warranty for an alloy one. No problems now.
The MGR dealer new exactly what was wrong without even looking at the car. Plastic is that bad in this application.
