MG MGF Technical - Plug Top Coil Ignition

Does anyone know when this was introduced to the K series please?

If you mean coil packs instead of a distributer, then my MY2001 (2000 reg) has them.

The VVC always has 'coil packs', but only later engines had 'plug top coils' (where the coil is sat on top of one plug with a lead to another)

Think it was around MY2000 along with a new version of MEMS.
