MG MGF Technical - Power shut off delay

Sorry if this has been covered.
On my TF I have recently discoverd the power shut off delay, which means you can close the windows after switching off the ignition, handy.(one day I will read the manual fully)
But what I'd like to know is if it is posible to fit the B&G electric boot relese on the same line, if anybody has done this, could they tell me how and were, I dont really want to go pokeing around with out a little more detail

I noticed that recently too on my 2001 VVC. Once you open a door, though, it cuts the power (on mine). I wonder if this is a MY2000 mod or a more recent addition (like the airbox).
I'm pretty sure this feature is not mentioned in the F owner's manual anyway.

Funny thing really I didnt discover I had a one shot window till a mistake six months into ownership!
Still looks as though nobodys done it and I have to discover the electrics myself, Dieter has the diagrams for the old system on his site so I will start there, I will post my findings on this board when I find out as it will be handy to have the boot relese on the same system, I may be some time as I have no garage and the weather is too darn hot!

Mike - the answer to your question is yes, you can :o)

The auto-power shut off on TF and MY2000 MGF is via the Multifunction Unit (MFU) - which maintains a ground for a period after ignition switch-off.

Take a line from the window power feed to power your boot release, and the job's a good-'un :o)

Even if you're in the middle of closing the window!!! I was closing my window when Annie opened her door and it stopped halfway up....

Cheers Rob, Im gonna have to rig a light up and do it at night, too effing hot at the moment, i will remember the tip about door opening though thanks a lot guys
