MG MGF Technical - Quad Exhaust

Has anybody got the quad exhaust fitted that BG sell for £325? If so what do u think of it? I am thinking about getting one fitted.
Phil

Don't know much about the B&G, but general consensus is that Mike Satur's Daytona (made by Janspeed) is a fine piece of kit.

£295 + vat - just waiting for my existing exhaust to bite the bullet before taking the plunge ;O)

The one you're looking at is the Magnex. I must say that I have seen these in the metal and they look superb and nicely finished. A few of the guys on this BBS have them and are Very happy.

Is the MS a true proper quad exhaust like the BG or is it just the tail ends?
Phil

The Daytona system is tail pipe finishers only Phil - unlike the one that B&G sell. IIRC Milltek also sell a quad pipe system - and I *think* that this has four tail pipes rather than being just a finisher???

I suspect that Milltek (and other manufacturers) supply other companies with their products for rebadging, so there may be slightly less 'choice' than we think...

Milltek do three typres for the F/TF, single each side, Quad and centre quad (Lizzy type).

I have been considering the Magnex also and did not realise that B&G were selling them. Has anyone noticed from the B&G pictures that the fittings seem to be completely diferent between the Quad and the Supersport? There seems to be a foot of pipe and a right angle bend missing where the box fits onto the Cat.

The pattern of the exhaust depends on whether your car is pre or post 2001. The system with the 'extra' foot of pipe and 90 degree bend suits all pre-MY2000 MGFs.

The other suits all MGFs/TFs built after 2001.

You can fit the shorter system to an earlier car with the use of an adapter pipe, but the vice versa doesn't apply.

Should make a nice noise on overrun ,LOL.
Going home.
