MG MGF Technical - Ragtop glue

As this time of year has approached, the hardtop has been stowed and the old ragtop is back in use. I do however have the first stirings of a problem, namely the crossbear that runs from one side of the car to the other (from the centre of the driver and passenger windows) is starting to come unstuck from the material along with some of the seams, which instead of being flush with the roof are starting to droop down.
Can anyone sugest what GLUE i should be using to address this!!
Thanks
S Callaway

Try Evostick contact adhesive. Wait until the roof is dry, apply glue to both surfaces and leave to dry for 10 minutes then press both surfaces together.

The bond will be instant, so you need to place the pieces right first time.

Probably a contact adhesive. For more advice, you could try dropping the hood manufacturer a line - BAS International - http://www.bas-international.com/ tel: 01633 873 664

Thixofix is what some trimmers use,it made by Bostick or Dunlop.
Its a contact adhesive that looks like a thick set honey.

A further thought on this. If you don't see the glue on display, try asking at the check-out.

Contact adhesives are not available as self-service in UK shops to deter glue-sniffing.
