MG MGF Technical - Re Mapping
Can anyone tell me the correct way to re map the engin via the throttle I have forgotten the correct way and have seen two diferent ways of doing it |

I dont know of a way to remap but you can reset the tb by taking the ignition to position 2 and pressing the gas pedal fully 5 times. |
Yigit |
Derek, If you meant the stepper motor reset, then Yigit is spot on; 1. move key to position 2 2. press gas pedal 5 times within 20 sec 3. switch off ignition 4. restart car. By the way Yigit - my insurance company eventually compensated me for my stolen camera!!! :-) |

what is the steooer motor and ehy would u want to reset it ????? |

Fantastic news Sam, i am very glad they agreed to compensate it. How did you convince them. PD, if your car idles at higher rpms than it should (say at 1400) or after cleaning the tb, you can reset the stepper motor. |
Yigit |
Yigit, I just kept calling, emailing and writing, telling them that they were being unreasonable asking for written confirmation from the Turkish police, particulary since this requirement was only mentioned in tiny print, hidden in the terms and conditions. :-) |
