Got my car back today after having had a new down-pipe on the exhaust fitted (warranty) the sound as described previously has now gone. No more VW Beetle impersonations when accelerating through 3,000 rpm. :) |

Mine is booked for early Feb so will keep you posted as well (except that the funny sound on my car appears when getting through the revs...). |

Thx Paul ... interestingly mine started when I had the MS downpipe fitted ... Gaz |

Gaz, Perhaps it's not a fault with the down-pipe itself in your case but a leak via a gasket? I would imagine that it's possible this would give the same result. |

My Trophy has the same noise - I'll get the dealer to look at this when its in for a service in a couple of weeks. Could be a gasket leak as it seems to quieten down once its really warmed up i.e. when everything has expanded. |

The noise I had was present regardless of temprature, but then the dealer did say they found a fault with the down pipe and hence replaced it curing the problem. Stands to reason that in your case it could well be a gasket Terry. |
