it's pulling away from all those roundabouts, Darren. I work in MK and have never managed to get more than 10k from a set of rears... (Bridgestone RE720 gave me less than 7k!!).. Front wear is much better (as long as alignment is correct).

You really are having a laugh this time aren't you? You've posted on here for over a year, asked loads of fairly techie questions, discussed various problems ...

You cannot possibly have missed the fact that the F is REAR WHEEL DRIVE.

Did you check the ride height as well as the alignment. The original rear tyres were well gone on the inside when I bought my car at 12000 mls. After re-alignment (could see the error on the rears indicated on the readout) and with new tyres fitted at that time, I have since done a further 13000 mls and the tyres still look almost new. Must admit I avoid pothholes like the plague.

Sure you got the alignment done correctly within tolerance. Can you check on that read out?

I think you made the right choice there, I had the Premium Contacts all round when I bought the car however as the service they notices the the front nearside tyre had distorted and was slightly off of being perfectly round (never had the before!). Had fronts changed for Toyo T1-R's and the grip is far better. With the conti's the car was very prone to understeer whereas now its almost on the verge of oversteer. I'm looking forward to the rears wearing out so I can replace them too!
