Hopefully all is clear. I'd like to try and attempt this myself, but perhaps using 'reclaimed' parts from an autobreaker.

Slightly cheaper a project than a VHPD head methinks ;o)

On a sort of related topic, I was in B&G yesterday and noticed that they have some nice Mk2 centre console fascias in stock - a trophy blue one for example...

Aha! Well, when, like me you have a yummy silver console anyway, you don't have to pay too close attention to any others.

Quick trivia question. You could get the Trophy in platinum silver, couldn't you? If so, what colour was the matching console - was it just like the silver one I added to my VVC as a factory fit, or is it a more metallic or pearlescent thing?

Or even chrome? ;-)

I don't think that the Trophy was available in Silver - red, Trophy Yellow, Trophy Blue and Anthracite I think we the only colours weren't they?

And yes I am after one of those yummy silver consoles! LOL

£200 or so that console 'n' vents cost me. Money well spent!
