I think that most people just use a few blobs of silicon sealant. |

i just used silicone sealant ....if you go to your local "B+Q" type store you can get black! go spareingly with it .....its a bugger to get off if you cock it up..... prevention or masking is better than cure !!! |

Silicon sealant or no-nails will do!!. If you use silicon sealant(I do often with work), use a thin bead all the way round then spray the area with a soapy water mixture, this will then allow you to spread the bead out with your finger to get a nice even finish!. The soapy water stops the silicon sticking to any unwanted bits, including your fingers!!.:o) |

The material used is Sikaflex-221, a PU-based sealant usually used to bond glass to metal. / Carl. |

>> The soapy water stops the silicon sticking to any unwanted bits, including your fingers!!.:o) << Cheers Mark - I'll remember that top DIY tip the next time I'm using silicone sealant in the bathroom/ kitchen etc. Washing up liquid? |

Rob, If you're using the said sealant in your bathroom or kitchen, just mix some washing up liquid and water in a cup. Dip your finger in it before using the digit to smooth the sealant. |
