MG MGF Technical - Small bump - what damage ?

Had a minor bump this morning when parking the TF160, small scratch on bumper and now its out of alignment.

Up slightly on the passengers side, and out slightly on the drivers.

Poor driving at low speed to blame, my fault.....

Got to take it to bodyshop for quote.

Anybody done this before, and any ideas of cost or issues ???

Thanks for any help.
S Reinson

It's all plastic, so realignment should be a case of loosen the screws and retighten, unless you've damaged the panels hold it on more than a little, does it need repainting ?
IMO £175 should cover it.

Little or no re-painting - just minor scratches, the rest should buff out...

No apparent cracks on the plastic, but could this have bent or damaged the mounting points, and how is it held on ?

screws and a couple of nuts and bolts, see www.sfforever website for dismantling instruction and pictures.

On an F. I think the TF is simmiler, but it won't be compleatly the same (no indicators to pop out for instance)

Will,
I thought as you can do the F to TF front end conversion job with only a headlight change (i think) the fitting should be almost identical .

When you do the F to Tf conversion you have to fit a pair of mounting brackets IIRC?

Try just undoing the 2 large torx bolts, found in the recess next the fog lights. This what I did to equal the gaps under the headlights on mine. If you can't get enough movement just by doing that, you will need to remove the 5 screws along the top edge (in front of the bonnet lock).
Try moving it again, and if it still won't budge then you will need to remove the 2 screws on the end, that attach in to the wheel arch liner, and the bolt that attaches the end to the inner wing (the hole in the bumper is slotted to allow some adjustment). This bolt is accessed by pulling the wheel arch liner away and squeezing you hand/ratchet in the tiny gap (will prob graze most of your knuckles on the process).
