What's your car? I have a very annoying squeak from the passenger seat of my new TF. I haven't properly checked it out but a think the back of the seat (when someone's in it!) is moving independently of the seat of the seat (the squab?). Does this make sense?

I have a squeak on my VVC 99...its is on the T Bar, right where the speakers are. Very very annoying and I will have to get it sorted asap as its driving my round the bend.

It may help to try adjusting the seat forward a few mm so that it won't rub against the T-Bar when you sit in it... Cheers RichieR

John, my passenger seat squeaks when someone is in it. Now I value my life too much to suggest it had anything to do with the wife, but it was worse when she was in the seat. Maria is not very big, and as a result it turned out that the seat bealt fixing was being pulled tight against the side of the leather seat and rubbing. Initially cured by putting a tissue between seat and seat belt clip. Better fix was those sticky backed felt pads from DIY stores aimed at putting on bottom of ornaments to stop surfaces being scratched. Stich that in the right place no mor squeaks.

Also the seat itself would be squeaky. Mine squeaks when I have my clutch in. (Left leg pushed against the seat) + Another source could be what David has mentioned. My seat/belt squeaked a lot, but after wearing the seat belt, make sure to align the belt properly, forexample for it to pass between the head of the seat and the body of seat properly, then the noise should disappear. Just a thought.. :)
