MG MGF Technical - squeeky suspension?

my car has begun to squeek whenever i go over any kind of bump in the road. i was wondering whether it is something to do with the suspension :-(

Also had this problem, bit of WD40 and tightened up the nuts on top of the dampeners resolved mine.

Hope its not too serious.

As mentioned in another thread, I just walked round the car, pushing down on each corner.

Found that the rear, drivers side squeaked.

Think there mention of various tests you can do in the archives, to check bushes etc.

squeaks could also come from the stabiliser bar mountings.

i had a squeak on my f looked today and foun that the gas strut on the rear passenger side had come out from the rubber where it connect to the suspension so i took the wheel off un did the bolt put the rubber back on then bolted it up and tightened it to 45nm hope this helps

only when driving slowly at crowded parking lots. :)

dealer just put grease at the mounts. probably need to replace bushes. BTW, are there any bushes at stabliser bar mountings?

Also grease the bonnet hinges - there the usual suspect rather than suspension components!

Yep, two of at each. Replacements made from PU availiable from the usual sources. Dunno about the hub side mounts. The short 4 inch linkage bars have rubber, but I never saw PU parts for them.
