Guys, Has anyone managed to work out how to fit a starter button to the MGF yet as I would be really interested. Regards, Mike |

Seem to remember this discusion a while back. Don't no how much work would be needed, but my lighter is just asking to be replaced by a starter button as it is not used. Ready made hole, just need wireing! |

I know this has cropped up several times before but I still wonder - Why apart from show and tradition? Walk to car, press fob to unlock door, get in car, key into ignition before immobilizer cuts in, change hands and press starter. |

Why not get a choke fitted whilst your at it and a foot operated dip switch! Ted |

The electrical side is easy enough - you could even make it light up with IGN on and engine not running (the oil pressure switch is a good indicator of engine runnning - just wire in parallel with the oil warning light). The currents are not high, and you would probably wire in parallel with the current key-switched line ... But be very wary - I'm one of many people who would not buy a car with owner-modded electrics (learnt the hard way). Why not talk to an auto-electrician ? |

Check the archives - I seem to recall that someone had sourced a Honda S2000 starter switch (big red button with IGNITION START on it ;o)) |
