I've not come across this site before Bob - what do you know about them?

Unrelated to the topic of cheap back-boxes, I had a quick look through their catalogue - impressed to discover that they are listing Chrom Design parts, not previously available from a UK supplier! :o)

I found them ages ago and bookmarked it and had a look on it again today. Some nice new bits. I liked the chrome gear surround for the Mk1 Centre Console.

Havent ordered anything but the product range is growing.

Not seen these before! :-)

just for comparison: B&G charged £75 for a replacement standard rear system (+vat probably but bill included service, cat, pads etc).

I see the link says 'to replace standard' with no claims to being special in any way.

With difficulty! ROFL!
Seriously, you'd have to prise the instrument pack apart (removing the perspex cover). Another one of those jobs that sound simple in theory, but a right pain in the buttocks when you come to attempt it...

As an aside, I've always wanted chrome rings for the instruments - rather like the R75 et al. This Chrom Design option is a step in the right direction, but a little OTT.

Interesting site, thanks Bob. And thanks to John for pointing out that the same parts can be had cheaper from B&G!
Rob Bell

Most of the chrome products appear to be Chrom Design parts. All have been listed on th Chrom Design site for months ... so not that new ...
