MG MGF Technical - Superchips Icon Race

I just picked up one of these on ebay for £26.
Does anyone know if you can download the reprogramming software from anywhere on the net?

A;so, if anyone has any success or horror stories about using the Icon then please tell...

Thanks
John Philpott

The Icon needs to be configured correctly after installation this is done using a rolling road, so not really a home job. I would suggest contacting superchips and finding an installer in your area. who will fit and configure it for you.

I've had one for the last two years without problem and it does smooth out the power curve, don't expect a huge power increase though, there is one just not very big though.

The only rule here is GET IT DONE CORRECTLY....

For horror stories read the archives RE Dirk
who melted his engine and became bitter, then left to buy a BMW...
Now I wouldn't wish that on anyone!
Will Munns

Exactly as Tim says John. No aftermarket software is available unfortunately. Rolling road set up is by far and away the most sensible way forward.

If you search the archive, you'll find a horrifying tale of a chap called Dirk who failed to get his ICON set up (he recieved poor advice from the chip's vendor).

If you go and have a look at:

You can see the power graph of my configuration, you'll have to scroll down a little though.
