If the testbook uses the lan connection, I assume port 1?, make sure you set the interface RJ45 to 10meg and duplex off. |

I have some software : DISCUS 3.03 Release DISCUS 3.11 Release RDS 3.11 Service Release 030699 RDS 3.11 Service Release 110898 Because My SCSI-CDROM is broken , so I use another one--> IDE-CDROM . I modify config.sys in floppmak floppy. My config.sys content : Old Config.sys DEVICE = a:/SCSI/ASPI2DOS.SYS /Z DEVICE = a:/SCSI/ASPICD.SYS /D:ASPI_CDR SHELL = a:/DOS/COMMAND.COM a:/DOS/ /E:1024 /p DEVICE = a:/DOS/SETVER.EXE LASTDRIVE = Z New Config.sys DEVICE = a:/SCSI/ASPI2DOS.SYS /Z -> SCSI card Driver DEVICE = a:/SCSI/CD1.SYS /D:ASPI_CDR -> ˇ§CD1.SYSˇ¨ IDE-CDROM Driver SHELL = a:/DOS/COMMAND.COM a:/DOS/ /E:1024 /p DEVICE = a:/DOS/SETVER.EXE LASTDRIVE = Z I will copy CD1.sys to floppmak floppy. I use floppmak floppy to boot my TestBook and Put DISCUS 3.03 CD in CDROM. The TestBoot Boot Successful and Format My HHD. After Formatting , I modify config.sys in My HHD. I restart My TestBook . After restarting, I run ˇ§z:/finstall/xferdos.batˇ¨ . After running ˇ§xferdos.batˇ¨ , I continue running ˇ§z:/finstall/xferrds.batˇ¨ After running ˇ§xferrds.batˇ¨ , I modify config.sys in My HHD. I restart My TestBook . I tried TestBook System and put DRM0011N (MGF) in CDROM . I connect to My Car useing VCSI device through Port1. Trying System and Device Successful. I continue to upgrade My RDS 3.03 to 3.11 . I upgrade My RDS to 3.11 through RDS System Function which is "Configure". My Step is click on "Configure" --> "Install RDS Sofeware" --> "Put on RDS 3.11 CD" --> "Install". I upgrade Successfully and No Error . However , After I upgrade it , I restart System , it shows message "SUCCESSFUL TB486 FPGA load. R8.00 (1) [c:/rds/conf/tb4ax1.dat]" and Not Runing. Because My TestBook Can Not Boot and Run , I Can not continue to upgrade . If have ghost system ISO , I will use ISO to restore my TestBook . Thank you George My MSN : kuo626@hotmail.com |

George, The new (and ols) config.sys you use is pointing to drivers on your floppy disk A: Do you have this floppy disk in your drive A: when you boot up? Why are you not using your C drive? I would suggest you edit the config.sys to use the files on the c: drive. Looks like you are loading different dos shells. Also if you are not running any other scsi devices, then you do not need to load the scsi drivers for the cd rom. Just rem out that line. egs "REM EVICE = a:/SCSI/ASPI2DOS.SYS /Z -> SCSI card Driver" (you are using only ide, yes?) Send me some files and I will have a closer look at them. I need from a: and from C: these files. Autoexec.bat, Config.sys, flopmak.bat, xferdos.bat, xferrds.bat Also at the c:/ prompt (dos) run the DIR command and pipe to a file called "dirlist.txt" and send me the file. egs: go to dos prompt cd.. dir >> c:/dirlist.txt cheers, Branko |
