MG MGF Technical - TF Steering rack part number
Anyone help? I'm after the part number for the TF steering rack. Victoria kindly came up with a couple of candidate numbers (QAB102320 and QAB102330), but which one is it? Many thanks |

Why ? Did you not change your original for the TF rack. Not gloating but wondering. |
S Laithwaite |
Yup - I did, you're right Stephen :o) But when I got mine, it didn't then have a part number ... Confused? There's a story attached ;o) Anyway, sorted now: QAB 3000240 is the one for RHD cars... :o) |

As a matter of interest when mine failed its MOT on the rack I spoke to MG about a TF one as I heard about your swap Rob, but they quoted two part numbers and two prices, one approx 275 and other about 350. Anybody know why? |
R Baker |
I can't comment on the costs - they both seem quite high unless the 275 quid figure is the cost of the rack + 2 track rod ends + VAT - but the 350 quid price - errr... Two part numbers? One inclusive of track rod ends and one exclusive of these 'extras'? Pass. Anyone else know? |

Rob, Roy's just called - you might have misunderstood him - the part number is QAB000240 and not 3000240. Neither of us can get through to your mobile at the moment. Dave |

Dooooooooooooooooh! Clearly going deaf as well as myopic. As for mobile phone, seriously considering a change - and fancy one of those 3G phones ;o) |

> >Clearly going deaf as well as myopic. Does that go with the Goldfish memory Rob ;-) |
Dave |
I forget... |
Rob Bell |
LOL, me too! |
