MG MGF Technical - Tweeter pic...
I don't suppose anyone has a close-up picture of the back of an MY2000 door tweeter so I can see the connection? Before I go outside and remove a door card... Cheers Chris. |

Ok, don't worry about the pic anymore... I've now got the door card off and the tweeter out. From a previous post I know what colour each positive/negative speaker wire is that I need to run the tweeter wires off... but, looking at my MGF workshop CD, the connectors on my tweeters are different from those in the manual - my door cards are from a TF... So.. question is, which wire would the capacitor be on? positive or negative? If I can get that answer, I'll know which wire to attach to which connector terminal... Cheers Chris. |

Positive I *think*. Will have a look when I get home tonight (remind me!) |

Rob, I'm sorted... took the door cards off, nipped to halfords to get some wire and bodged up my own connectors use "bullet connectors" and wired them all up :-) In answer to my own question - the positive went on the capacitor wire - or that seemed to produce the best sound. Cheers anyway - at last I have some treble :-) Chris. |

>In answer to my own question - the positive went on the capacitor wire. Shouldn't make any diffrence, so if you had difficulty telling - that'll be the reason! |

Cheers Will... my ears aren't as good as they used to be... I "thought" there was a difference so I went with my instinct :-) Chris. |
