MG MGF Technical - tyre pressures on 17' wheels
ok anyone know if the pressure should vary with lower profile tyres? ok recommended pressure, 26/28 on 15". 26/28 on 16". so what about 17" rims? any ideas? |

wild guess but 26/28 perhaps...... |

;-) i tend to agree, this would seem to be the case. |

I'm running 205/40 & 215/40 on 17's with 28 all round. After a few sideways moments to try and push the tyres to the limits and beyond this seemed about right! All the best, Duncan. |

I've got 16" 215/40 Pirelli 7000 all round After testing... 26 is too low, 32 is too high and the car handles better with a pressure difference between front and back So currently it's 28 on the front, 30 on the back 26/28 is based on Goodyear rubber so there will always be a difference between that and other makers Matt |

>205/40 & 215/40 on 17's Surely this makes the rear wheel and tyre combined diameter to big. But then again what do I know.... |
