MG MGF Technical - Tyres:Toyo
Just read the last extensive tyre review, and people seemed to rate the Toyo T1-R and T1-S. There seemed to be a question about the availability of the T1-S, but if there's a choice any idea whether the extra £45 on a complete set is worth it for the T1-S over the T1-R? Thanks greg. |

Greg, Contrary to alphabetic convention, the T1-R replaces the T1-S, hence the lack of availability of the S variant. I understand that the R has re-inforced, and presumably stiffer sidewalls than the S, and therefore will be better for the F. I will be replacing my tyres within the next couple of weeks, and will be ordering the T1-R. Hope this helps Mike |

From the survey feedback, it would seem that the T-1R are the ones to go for :o) |

Thanks, T1-R's ordered. :-) |

Greg excellent choice! Just put mine on over lunch and went for a spin, what I can say up to know is that it's a superb choice. Rgds, Cyril |

I had a full set put on last week, plus hydagas pumped up to correct level and 4 wheel alignment, the ride quality and handling has been improved no end. |

We have Toyo Proxes T1-R's on the back and if you find yourself in a launch situation the clutch will slip before the tyres do, as i found out last night! They are very good tyres, i use them on my 250bhp Maestro Turbo to good effect. |

I replaced the 4 worn GSD2 by T1-R and I must admit they're really efficient. I haven't tested under heavy rain but I feel confident after reading other's posts. |
