MG MGF Technical - Wanted: Selector Switch
Just had a diagonstic check on a Vreg '99 1.8i Steptronic and it has a faulty Selector Switch. However, the nice mechanic said, don't get us to do it, go and seek one out... as MG in their wisdom have elected to stop seling them as a separate part and now ask customers to shell out £300 for the whole thing! anyone know where i might be able to track one down? |

Paul I'd start with MGF Centre as they can source most parts, used if not new. Also Midland MGF are well known breakers. |

Paul, are you actually getting gear selection problems? If you can find a bit more out about the switch, it may be entirely possible to replace the switch with something from Maplins... ;o) |

hi bill what were the symtoms with the selector switch, my steptronics booked in next week with a dodgy clutch helen |

>it may be entirely possible to replace the switch with something from Maplins... ;o) A picture or hand drawing might be useful. Including drill locations and marking on the switch. We _found_ already the OEM of the MGF door lock switches years ago, so why not that one. Dieter <<<--- curious :) PS. get the broken if your dealer changes it to a new. |
