MG MGF Technical - what to look for
hi all, going to pick up a 2002/52 mgf 1.8i next week ,in british racing green with 26,000 miles on the clock . what things if any should i be looking for. thanks in advance pat. |

Pat, It's probably a very pretty car and just what you really, really want so the first thing to look for is your heart ruling your head. Don't let that happen. Apart from any mechanical, trim or bodywork stuff, if the service history is not complete in every respect and not every MOT certificate is to hand - WALK AWAY. Adam Voice Of Experience Price |

Pat, Make sure that the timing belt and water pump have been replaced, as this is due when the car is 5 years old. Nobody buys an F with their head. Adam - my 5 year old F is in mint condition, but I don't keep my old MOT's! Good luck Pat! :-) |

Check the more obscure services have been attended to. If the grease nipples on the suspension have not been done it's a reasonable indicator that someone has been cutting corners. Chris |
