MG MGF Technical - Wheel nut size

Hello from a new owner. I want to buy a set of Mcgards (I think thats the wrong spelling) locking wheel nuts for my Trophy and dont seem to be able to find the correct part number. Also what size is the standard wheel nut as i want to get a protected wheel socket to save damage to my alloys? Hope you can help.

Don't know the wheel size but the Mcgards packets and point of sale info shows makes and models of cars. Or look on their website - they have an 'ask us' link somewhere on there.

Jer,

Standard nut size is 19mm...

Thanks Cris for the size and John the range they appear to have is for MGF and not Trophy. Thanks both

Jer, 2005 spec TF's come with McGuard nuts as standard, so I would imagine thses would also be suitable for a Trophy.
Could be worth asking your dealer if they can get them. If not, try Mike Satur or the MGF Centre.

I bought McGuard wheel nuts from Mike Satur for my Trophy 16" wheels - no problem.

Again many thanks for your help. Glad I found this site.

I recently purchased some Mcgaurd locking nuts from MIke Satur [ £29.99 inc p+p ] I emailed them just to double check they would fit my MGF, they got back to me within 24 /48 hrs. Posted order on the Monday night and they arrived midday Wednesday, and very nice they look to.

Hi
Looking at the packet from Mike satur the McGard wheel locks are ......M12x1.5 24157 SU
nice quality nuts
I never found the rover nuts very good quality ....the spanner sripped once and had a bugger getting the wheel lock off.
just bought some new trophy wheels so did not want to trust the old ones as they where sunken deeper in the wheel resses.. very pleased with the McGard nuts
