MG MGF Technical - window bracket part number please
Just taken the drivers door to bits to fix a broken window stop and found it to be intact. The part that is broken is the plastic brackets that are attached to the window itself and bolted to the window runner. Anybody know the part number for these as can't find them listed. thanks mitch |

Not sure which part you are describing but try the following web page. Dieter's pages to the rescue again I think. http://www.lame-delegation.de/mgfcar.de/epc/6579.htm Keith |

Thanks Keith but I had already visited that page as my first port of call. The part I am refering to is the parts on the web page which are still attached to the glass and not identified by part number hence my problem. thanks mitch |

Iain, I have got exactly the same problem with my passanger window, is it the 2 plastic holders that keep the window in the bottom bar? I cannot find an individual part number for these, if you get anywhere please let me know. I've done the usual things repleced the plastic stop for the hex bolt, messed around with the adjuster, wasted an afternoon taking the whole thing apart and putting it back in, sworn pointlessly etc etc. Cheers Terry |

Thats them Terry. Will keep you informed if I have any joy. My brain has already kicked into how to make my own version of these. regards Mitch |

Thanks Dieter but it is not the window stop, it is the brackets that are glued onto the glass itself then bolted to the runner, just the same as Terry rightly identified above. They are on your web page as I said but not identified. thanks Mitch |

Ahhh, apology. They are not available as spare. These where from a wreck. Difficult to clean from glass chips, btw. http://www.mgfcar.de/window/dkcp_3967.jpg http://www.mgfcar.de/window/dk1cp_3968.jpg more on the bottom of this document http://www.mgfcar.de/window/window_lift.htm I think it's easier to source a complete door glass with the brackets. Take care you get one from a car _after_ 1998 cause the glass shape changed in 1997. |

Thanks Dieter , you confirmed what I expected. Okay plan 'b' --- make one !! aluminium or plastic ?? or see what lurks inside the doors of a Rover 45 regards Mitch |
