MG MGF Technical - Windows Help - Quick if Possible
Hey all, we have a window problem, the passenger side leccy window no longer operates, it's 'trying' but won't move up or down. Fortunately it's stuck in the up position but it's sitting outside the door seal & is therefore not watertight (goody, would happen now that they weather has changed) We've (meaning my OH) has taken the door card off but he can't see what would be causing the prob, it's almost like it's catching on each side of the door but the window itself is still sat in the guide. Solutions please Thanks Sally |

Cheers Will, that was my thought! No seriously it was, I remember them being a prob but being a bit dim they were described as a rubber bush thingy ;-) Think that the OH may have at leasr got a temporary fix on it though. Thanks Sally |

Update, apparently the window stop was in tact but several screws had come loose / worked their way out all together. That would explain the rattling. Everything has been screwed back in place & all is fine now. But I miss the rattle ;-) Sally |

Hi there, I have the same problem. Can you please point me to a link on Dieters site which describes the problem. Thanks Steve |

Found it on the site. My only concern is re-fitting the window stop as it says wind the window down so there is about 5cm above the top of the door - it currently is stuck in the up position, so I will not be able to wind it down. Any suggestions ? Steve |
