MG MGF Technical - Windows stopped working again! Arrrrgh
Back to the drawing board, or should i say curcuit board!! Fuse? f4 f5 f6 relay? R2 ECU? Multi function, window lift Lets try again! |

F18 puts 12V onto RL2 coil and contacts which in turn put 12V to F4 and F5. |

More water ingress? |

Must be rare for a thread with that title to appear in a non-Microsoft forum... As Rob says, water ingress causing a short might be the root cause, or perhaps the window motor is approaching end of life. A multitester that can measure DC current is a useful tool I find ;o) |

That's an interesting picture for MGF anoraks like me. That's a circa 1998 Nightfire red MGF. What's odd is that it has unpainted door mirrors and door handles. That's a feature of the 1.6 litre models. Which were never offered in nightfire, and did come out until 2001... |

Fuse 6 is in fan cct - if under the bonnet fusebox, is the radiator fan; or if by the steering column fusebox, is the engine bay fan....Still no windows or have they returned? |

PS Mirrors were hand painted with matt black! |

Oh dear! And the door handles too? Was this supposed to be some kind of cosmetic improvement????! Blimey! |
