Thanks for that Dieter. I think I have already registered the car. Can you check? It would still be handy if anyone has a couple of these mountings to let me know. |

Hi, I made and fitted my own windstop. I cut it out of an offcut of 6mm polycarbonate with a fine tooth jigsaw. I purchaced two small shelf mounts from a glazier who does shopfitting. I screw fastend these 100mm in from each end direct to the t bar cover. the windstop is fitted into the mounts the same way as a glass shelf would be and held firm by the small grub screw supplied with the fitting. The polycarb is gray tint and a vinyl MG logo is in the centre. All up 1 hours work. Rock solid |

There used to be a chap on Ebay that did replacement alloy fittings for the factory windstop. |

rb, can you post a pic of your windstop please. What are the dimensions and when you fold it down with the roof up, does it scrape the rear plastic window? Cheers Branko. |

Thanks everyone. I now have accurate drawings and an offer from someone on E-Bay to supply. All I have to do is decide wether to spend the hard earned or make them myself! |

hi branko , will do, we have difficuly in such a complex thing as photo transfer but if it fails ill send it to Ted Newman he,s a guru at this sort of thing no scraping the hood fits over it perfectly,I keep it in the up position permanently. polycarbonate is a very workable product.i can purchase the mounts here and post them if you want.colours are clear, gray, and bronze. the MG logo is in a sand blast silver effect.well try that pic tonight. |

Hi Branko ,Ive sent the pics to Ted. My camera is a d200 and I dont think the site likes the pixel size. Coupled with the fact that the town hasnt had electricity for that long If you give me an email Ill send them. rbljwadsworth@xtra.co.nz Ted may be on holiday. |

thanks for posting the pics guys. Looks like the windstop is not as wide as the mesh type frame so does it still do a good job? rb, thanks for the offer. I'll talk to the daughter and see what see wants to do. cheers, Branko |
Branko |
Thanks Ted,Branko this size suits us, the hood can go right over it. you could cut it to any shape to suit.a bit of wind still gets thru but about 80% seems to be knocked out.cost wise it was about 50 bucks.Merry Xmas |
