MG MGF Technical - wiper judder

does anybody know why my wipers judder along screen i have put new champion wipers on but still judders
richard sunny swansea!!!!!!!!

Could just be the layers of film on your windscreen.

Have you tried using a heavy duty/good quality window cleaner, followed by a car wax?

Richard,
As the wipers travel in both directions, do the blades trail across the glass or dig in? If either sweeps dig in and you are happy they are fitted Ok you could put a very small twist in the actual arm that is digging in to correct this.
Good luck

In the 3 years I've had my F, they've always juddered up and down when the car's at motorway speed, but not during normal town driving.

Sounds to me like the airflow over the car upsets them, so perhaps windcheater/spoiler type arms may perform better, although I have no experience of different wiper arms. Here's a review of some alternatives: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/?http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/product_test/product_test_story.php?id=43861

Next time I have to change the blades, I'll look into revised wiper arms.

Digging around found this site, with an amusing line about "shaking the car around"?! http://auto.howstuffworks.com/wiper.htm , there is an impressive diagram as to how they work on the 2nd page though.

Not sure this helps, but just my experiences. T

yes tony i have the good quality champion blades fitted the o/s has a spoiler fitted but not n/s as standard so when i replaced them i put the spoiler blades on both sides , i will try to adjust arms this weekend will let you all know if it works!!!!

I replaced my OEM blades which had a nick in them for Bosch ones - now they judder and don't sit flat on the screen, leaving sections unwiped! Next time I will go to an MGR dealer and get the OEM ones.
