MG MGF Technical - Wiper linkage 2000 vvc
Hi all, just found this BBS and cant tell you all how please I am! I had the pleasure of my wiper linkage fail this morning and on further investigation I found the shorter (n/s) wiper arm had come away from the ball joint. Could anyone give any tips or point me in the right direction as to the easiet way to remove the motor / linkage assembly so as to replace the damaged part? Cheers in advance Tim |

Tim, if you register (it's free) you'll be able to search the archives. There is a lot on wiper linkages in there. I think there was a recent thread about someone with similar problems and if I recall correctly Andy Phillips (Scarlet Fever) said that there was an easy way to remove the motor and linkage. |

Have a look at http://www.sfforever.co.uk under "The Rebuild / 17 May Wipers, Bonnet, Scuttle" |

Tim, had this problem twice. The wiper linkage should be available separatly from the motor at your dealers or from parts suppliers like http://www.mgfcentre.com/ Better is to check Mike saturīs linkage, which seems to be of a sturdier design. http://www.mikesatur.co.uk or you can try to fix it yourself: http://www.mgfcar.de/wiper/index1.html good luck david |

Hi tim, I had the same problem about a month ago. I bought mike satur's linkage, got a local garage to fit it and it works, not a problem. Andrea |
