MG MGF Technical - Wiper motor
Does anyone know if one of the other Rover windscreen wiper motors will fit and work in the MGF ? Mine is making a weird noise and the intermittant wipe is not working. Time for a new one and I thought I could try a breakers yard with plenty Rovers around. |

I would put money on the MGF wiper motor being a 'parts bin' component. What it is shared with I do not know - but I'd look at R8 Rover 200s and Metros first - although there is a good chance that the Rover 25 and 45 probably use something very similar... |

Thanks Rob. I am sure someone must have gone down this route before and changed it with an existing motor from one of the other Rovers. Hopefully someone may respond on which model is best. |

AnyOne out there know if another Rover wiper motor can be used on the MGF ? |

Check scrap yards for Fiat Chroma MY1996 wiper motors. ;-) That will do it, beside of electric connector modification needed. They had been mounted in different (correct) direction and the fault with the wrong located drain hole did not happen at the Fiat. Scroll down to the bottom of http://www.mgfcar.de/wiper/ |
