MG MGF Technical - Workshop Manual
Hi all Does anyone know where to get a workshop manual from as i got a call from MG Owners club this morning saying they could not supply the one i ordered due to copyright issues also MG parts said the same. Regards Simon |

What copyright issues are they Simon? Sounds odd - I wonder what the deal is there? In the mean time, I'd suggest eBay, who seem less concerned about issues of copyright... |

I can understand MGOC being a bit cagey over copyright - they wouldn't want to antagonise the future owners or licencess of MF Rover Group Limited. The copyright is held by MG Rover Group Limited and " ... no part ... may be reproduced ... in any wat whatsoever without the express permission of MG Rover Group Limited." I would hope that X-Part can come to some arrangement in the near future or the copyright can be relaxed. |

Workshop manuals for the MGF are available on ebay, they are on CD rom and are quite resonable. Think the official manual for MGF is around £50. |

That's what Rob said. As long as everybody is aware that the eBay items are totally illegal breaches of copyright law being knocked out by pc owners with cd writers. That's why so many people exercise a bit of discretion when telling everybody else about them. They haven't yet found a way of removing the copyright statement from their pirates. |

Hi Simon I just got one from ebay £5.00 ! ! ! and its excellent Paul |

John, I would have thought that the MGOC and others were retailing the official version? Hence my initial confusion. |
