MG MGF Technical - Zipper gone on soft top window

Hi! Can anyone out there help!

Does anyone know of any soft top repairers or
suppliers of a new MGF rear window panel in Northants
or neighbouring counties that could supply and fit said item. The zipper does not hold the soft top and
window panel together, keeps giving way. The car
is the basic MGF model on a 2001 Y plate.

Where does zipper actually come apart or give way? ie middle, end etc?

Has the zipper puller ever come out at the end of the zipper runners?

Brown & Gammons in Baldock would do the job, at a price.

I had one supplied and fitted by a Coach Trimmer in Watford. Look in Yellow Pages and have a word with one of them.

Ask your local MG Dealer who does their roof and screen repairs - almost certainly not them!

Are you prepared to DIY? http://www.softtopwindows.co.uk for a screen at a great price and you can study their instructions before you decide.

Hi, Branko, John & Bob,

To Branko, well the zip has come apart in the middle,
To John, I've read the fitting instructions and for
£25 extra, I think I would have someone do it if there
was a place nearer to me. To Bob, I will get in touch
with Richard for his Milton Keynes contact.
