MG TD TF 1500 - '70s MGB SEATS IN A TD
I would like to confer with anyone who has retrofitted MGB seats in their TD. A '70s MGB seat looks like a more comfortable installation with no permanent changes required and allowing returning to the original configuration if desired. Anyone? |

I know someone that did this. I don't know anything about the details, but he seemed to make them fit OK. Personally, if I wanted bucket seats I would use early Bugeye seats. More period looking and actually look similar to the competition seats originally offered for the TD. |

Thanks for the comment Dave. |

Jim I used TR2 seats in my TC Peter (TC9356) |

Thanks Peter but if I proceed with my project, I figured MGB seats would be more plentiful and cheaper. That is, if they fit well. I will research the TR2 seats as you have done. |

Jim have you seen the upholstered aluminum seats a vender sells on eBay for sports cars. Classic wrap around design and appear well made. Vinyl and leather color options to mAtch your interior as well. |

Bill I have seen those but they just don't turn me on. I guess I am partial to something from the MG factory for some reason. Thanks for the suggestion. |
