MG TD TF 1500 - A small find

I was installing the door latches today. I have a few spares and noted that while the latches are interchangeable left to right as far as the holes go, the lettering on the latch bracket is of a different orientation. I am assuming the lettering was oriented so you could read it. If you put them on the opposite side, the lettering will be upsidedown.

Unfortunately for me, I did not catch this prior to having the latches chromed. The two that I had re-chromed are for the same side, and my spares are not in the greatest chrome condition.

So for now, I will have one upside down until I can get the correct one re-chromed.

This is the one for the left side.

small thing but great find !
It could be for left side if you consider that you always read it from above when you are seating.

I mailed it off to the chromer yesterday. Should have taken a picture of it.

The picture above that Bruce posted is the only one I have too (the right).

I am wondering how many with original latches have both or just the one (right or left) style.
