May be reasonably priced now, but the auction isn't over! Most bids on that site come in during the last two hours. |

Not sure about 'Oxford Blue' on a TF,however it was good to see the dashboard coloured correctly to match the interior Tan/Biscuit colouring Cheers Rob Grantham. |

Why the TF1500 badges on a 1250? |

Why the TF1500 badges on a 1250? Upgraded side panels! LOL Sorry, I'm in my humerus mood this morning. PJ |

Wishful thinking, in my experience... Tom Lange MGT Repair |

It does say non-standard 1250 XPAG fitted, I read that to mean the XPEG was removed and and XPG fitted. Guess the XPEG failed. |

The chassis number and body number are both 1250. Too bad MG did not produce a blue TF, I don't mind the colour. Matthew. |

The Chassis No. of this TF indicates that it was originally a TF 1250 with an XPAG (not XPEG) motor.
In the 60s and 70s in particular, many 'enterprising' owners who had a 1250, delighted in adding the enamel "TF 1500" badges to the side engine panels and also added on the large Lucas rear reflectors to the rear quarter panel just above the fuel tank to form part of the ruse ! TF1500s command a higher price generally in today's world. When purchasing a TF1500,to check the motor, the Cylinder Head should be stamped(not cast) AEF118 and the Block (adjacent to the generator) should have the letter/numbers AEF 117 CAST into it. Cheers Rob Grantham TF3719("Aramis"),TF9177("Athos"). |
