MG TD TF 1500 - Armature refinishing lathe - available

Dick Cavey has asked me to post this for him.

Dick has a lathe, used exclusively for refinishing the surfaces of collectors on generator and starter armatures.

This is off topic, but Gord, I've just realised that we have a lake house not that far from you, on Point au Fer in NY... I'm guessing we're only about an hour from you. We often get up into Canada to go to Montreal. Would be great to get together with some MG folks this summer while we're at the lake.

I thought a small centre lathe, a bench drill and welding gear was part of the standard T Series tool kit.

That would be really neat. This is MG country. Rockburn is in the Adirondacks. Great driving and lots of MGs. Between me and my daughter, we have 5 (1935 to 1989)

I know exactly where your are. In fact I'm frequently in Rouses Point. I'm abt an hour and a quarter (at TF speeds) from Point au Fer.

Dick is aware of the cost of shipping to the US. Once he gets a buyer, He'll bring it to my place in Rockburn, and we'll take it across the border (5 minutes from Rockburn), and we'll ship it from the US.

... much, much less expensive that way.
