MG TD TF 1500 - Assist on Door Latch Safety

A few years ago, there were several posts regarding temporary - then permanent - remedies for suicide door latch safety measures. A couple of ideas included bungee cord use. I can't seem to hit the magic word(s) for archive help yet. Could anyone give me an assist here? Many thanks! Jerry

My fast/easy/cheap solution is a paint stick for each door. Soft synthetic felt glued to the side that is against the door. Photo below.
