Sorry to hear about your mishap Ed. I would like to say that we hope for a speedy recovery, but four broken bones is going to take awhile to heal. Hang in there, this too will pass. Best wishes (cheers just doesn't sound appropriate) Dave |

Bugger! Heal fast! Praying. Larry |
Larry Brown |
Ouch, glad it was not worse. Any pictures (of car)? George |
George Butz |
Which mountain road? This didn't have anything to do with Flyin' Miata did it? |
David Littlefield |
Yes, it was a flying miata car. |
efh Haskell |
Sorry to hear about that Ed. That's a real bad day! May your healing period be a speedy one. PJ |

Glad to here you weren't seriously hurt. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LabX19ocJZA Watch 3 minutes in |
Christopher Couper |
Sorry to hear that.... BUT if you were just the passenger... how is the driver... or is it a GOOGLE car? |
M Grogan |
Here's wishing you a prompt and full recovery from your injuries. BobbyG |
Bobby Galvez |
I suggest you volunteer to drive next time, Ed. Get well soon. Gene |

I know Flyin' Miata is in Grand Junction, so I thought maybe it was related to their operation. With 240 hp, it doesn't surprise me that it was one of their conversions. Sorry to hear of your injury, especially since it was the result of someone else running out of talent. Hope you heal quickly. Certainly a lesson for us all-- any more than 60 hp is dangerous! |
David Littlefield |
So do you still think you want to swap out the TD for a Miata ? |
L E D LaVerne |
Not sure about anything anymore Laverne! Won't even be able to drive fora while. Driver has a full race version in the wings in the. He should sell it! Interested? |
efh Haskell |
Good you were in a modern car with belts, airbags and safety engineering... |
Geoffrey M Baker |
Not really Ed. I drove one of their cars with a turbo they had at their shop. I wasn't impressed. I did give some thought about one of their Westlake kits but figured I'm to old for that kinda ride. I like to go fast ... faster than anybody should....but I don't do stupid on the edge stuff when I have a passenger and if he tells me to slow down in my TF when I hit 90 I comply :-). But you would have had a good story if you let me take you on up to 100 mph. |
L E D LaVerne |
Yet another reason why I always insist on driving. I make a terrible passenger because I don't trust anyone elses driving. Hope you recover quickly! |
Steve Simmons |
Update Driver has been criminally charged! |
efh Haskell |
Criminally charged with what? |
MAndrus |
Ed, I hope you have a speedy recovery. Glad to hear you were not hurt any worse. God's speed. George Higginson |

Careless driving? |
L E D LaVerne |
stupid driving? You press charges? Who owned the car? So many questions... |
M Grogan |
In MA there is a crime called Driving to Endanger. Would seem to apply there. Bud |

Careless driving resulting in injury. |
efh Haskell |
No, I didn't press charges. The DA did. |
efh Haskell |
So what is Mrs H's view on all this. Did you get off lightly? And , of course, best wishes for a quick return behind the wheel OF THE TD! |
