The first and best thing I did when rebuilding the TF was to completely refurbish the centre dash. After rechroming, repainting and especially cleaning the insides of the glass faces it looked superb. I then stored this on the sideboard in our dining room. Whenever the main restoration was getting me down I could go and look at the dash and my spirits were lifted. I later added more sparkle to my life by storing rechromed door handles and lights etc. In a box under the table.
Please note the parts were all clean unlike a friend who stored the engine from his motorbike in the kitchen. This was useful for him since he could easily carry the cylinder head into the lounge and grind the valves whilst watching the television. Jan T |
