MG TD TF 1500 - Brake Drums - Relined
Maybe there is hope for brake drums on T-series cars with disk wheels. (This has already been posted and discussed.) This company relines brake drums. Don't know any thing about them. They list Triumphs, so I suppose that they could do MGs. https://www.jgrelining.com/ Lonnie TF7211 |

Lonnie, that sounds very promising, be nice for guys that are in a pickle with worn out drums! PJ |

Did you see the Bang The Drum page. The tag on the card says 1950 MkII but the picture is a different MG. I will let those in the know tell us what it is. |

JG Relining also replaces material on shoes and arcs the shoes. Peter |

Bruce. When I go to Bang the drum page I do not see any MG info at all. Sandy |

The M.G. is an M-Type. |

I'm confused (nothing unusual there). We were at J G Relining and all of a sudden we're talking about "Bang The Drum." What (where) is Bang The Drum? Jud |
J. K. Chapin |
"Bang the Drum" is the title of the page on J&G Relining web site where they show photographs of previous work. The M-type shown is that of Reinout Vogt, previously an Illinois resident. |

Would oversized linings machined to suit oversized drums solve the problem? Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

Just checked with the local mechanic who confirms this is pretty straightforward. No need to toss skimmed drums just get oversized linings machined to suit. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |
