MG TD TF 1500 - Brake Light Switch Wires
I am adding a turn signal harness to the TD. The original harness provides green and green/white wires for the brake light switch. The add on harness provides green and green/purple wires for the switch. I seems to me that only the second set of wires needs to be connected to the switch, and the first set is now redundant. Am I correct? If so, what to do with the first two? Bill |

Didn’t you get directions with your add on harness? |

Original circuit would complete ground directly to the bulbs. With the new wiring, I think the switch would complete circuit to the relay box, which then would go to the lights. Compare early/late wiring diagrams. George |

Directions....sort of. A diagram of the DB-10 with the different colored wires coming off of it. It doesn’t address the original brake switch wires. |

Green to power, green/purple goes to relay box, 14/15 go to the rear bulbs. Disconnect the current wires, make sure it works and tape them off.
