MG TD TF 1500 - Can you remove the crank handle?

Crank handle is supposed to be cad over brass per Chris Coopers web.

I can plate the handle on the crank, but it is a bit easier if I can do the handle seperatly. Can you remove the handle or is it permanently attached?

I had this discussion with my plater for something I wanted done. Simply mask the brass handle so it is water tight. If it does not get in contact with the solution in the tank, it doesn't get plated.

I think it was rolled over by a special machine. I suspect you will do more damage trying to pry that lip up uniformly and then the same on return.

I was able to nickel plate the handle without any problem.
