MG TD TF 1500 - Clausanger's Book

Just been looking at the Amazon site and there are three copies of Clausanger's "The Original MG T Series" for sale and the price of each is over £1000. There are two on eBay. One is £500 and the other £100. Why the huge difference in price? Which of the sellers has got it wrong? Is the book out of print?

This is one of the many strange wrinkles of the Internet.
Booksellers aim to cover their sector of the market and list all possible books. They use an adapted search engine to locate books which they are expected to stock but which they may not actually have in hand to sell. The software looks on the internet for the book in stock with a competitor, notes its price and then re-prices the offering on their site at a higher level so as to be able to buy a copy from the other advertiser and sell it on at a profit.
Of course there are several doing this, so the price automatically ramps up on the back of the closed circuit as you have seen.

There have been examples where a very ordinary but rare book has been priced at several million (whatever currency units you like) before the loop started back again.

There are also opportunists hoping that a potential buyer will click on Buy Now without looking properly at the price.

That is because it knows where you are and prices in your local currency. For me, logging in from the UK, the price is in £UK and it is £29.41.
