Is it 7-1/4" or 8"? How can you tell? Where do you measure? ![]() |

Measure the lined clutch disc, Mort, not the clutch cover. |

The clutch cover or pressure plate is a quality product. Do not rush to replace it with a new one! And I believe it is the smaller one, and a better type spring system, that the racers use. Do you have a cable or rod type clutch linkage? |
Len Fanelli |
Len may very well be correct. One picture shows "TYPMF 190" 190mm = 7.48031" Can't you use the diameter of the throw out Bearing Shaft as an indicator? If it is 5/8" or 3/4"? Mike TF-8257 |

Thank you gentlemen, I suspected as much. I got the clutch from Steve Neal when I got the Skyhook transmission. Len, I have the rod type linkage. Mort |

Mort When Steve Neal supplies my Skyhook Gearbox, it came with a new 8" clutch and there was an instruction page to show where it might be necessary to file away a small part of the block edge to allow it to clear the new clutch housing. Only necessary for the 8" clutch. But it looks like your is a 7.5" Clutch? http://www.yoyopart.com/oem/4828429/sachs-3082192041.html Rod. |

Mort, I believe your transmission takes a Datsun clutch and an MGB pressure plate, but I may be wrong. I'd consider replacing the clutch disk and maybe the throw out bearing, but reuse the pressure plate. David. |
