MG TD TF 1500 - clutch return spring

quick question. I just replaced my clutch return spring on my TD. Does the 90 degree end need to be slightly bent over after install to keep it from coming out? Thanks

Good to know. I'm just installing a set of Declan Burns clutch rods, and bought a new spring to go with it.

Thinking of doing Declan's kit, but mine is RHD.

Anybody done it on RHD with exhaust in close proximity?
