MG TD TF 1500 - Colingburn Seat Covers
Has anybody had any experience with Colingburn? My TF is desperate for new seat covers. Want to see if I can afford their level of quality. Gord Clark Rockburn, Qué |

They used to be first rate but I believe the father has retired now though. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

I have a Collingburn interior, but my understanding is that they no longer offer them for the TD or TF. Dave H |

Gord Collingburn is now only making interiors for MMM type. He sold the T Type business, factory patterns, materials, etc to Tom Wilson of Kimber Creek Zionsville, Indiana Here is his email. kimber0251@gmail.com Great guy and I'm sure you'll enjoy talking to him. Frank TF1414 |

I fortunately fitted both the TF 1250 and TF1500 with
Mike Collingburn's(UK) interior kits. He was exacting in his detail and all parts lined up with each other perfectly. The correct piping (stuffing) of the pleated cushions and squab made for a very different quality and comfort compared to many other suppliers. Frank Cronin was pleased with Tom W's (USA) kits so that is a good indication that the quality is still evident. I am not sure if Tom does the Biscuit/Tan interior colour ? Gordon I'd ask how the edges are trimmed. The capping that Moss use is not the correct approach. The two pieces need to be folded back so that they form two folded edges stitched together. I hope that Tom Wilson follows the original method. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |
