MG TD TF 1500 - correct tacho for MG TD?
I have 2 tachos (Jaeger) presumably for a T Type..one has a flat face and the other has a dished face. My TD is from 1952. What is the correct one to use ? Obviously will try to obtain a matching speedo to suit, and will probably sell the surplus tacho. Thanks in advance. |

Most likely a 1952 will have a dished Tacho. Gerard

I think change over was at car #10751 (which was in '51), but you can't go by "model year" alone. George

As George says use the car number, not the registration year. And what is your speedo like?

My 1951 TD, number TD8986 has dished speedo and tach. They came on the car when I bought it in 1977 so would think they were originals. Question: are all flat face units chronometric type?

Ray, after you get the type of tach that is correct for your car sorted out can you please send me an email message. I have a matching speedometer for the tach you are going to use. Possible trade or part trade. Cheers, Hugh
