Hi Lonnie,
There appear to be two types currently available. One is a little thinner and has a 90o rebate to sit flat on the cowl. The other has an acute angle and is a little thicker. Some people have claimed that the second one is harder to fit and not original, I believe it is the one currently supplied by Moss (LBC in my case). That is the shape that was with the pieces of my car when I bought it. I shaped the new wood for mine so that it left the correct amount of space to bring the hood in line with the cowl and have so far had no difficulty in the temporary installation. You might need an extra hand keeping tension on the rubber when pulling it around the bend and nailing it. In my opinion the sharper edge of the Moss shape could well provide a better seal to prevent water finding its way into the wood between the cowl and the firewall so I am sticking with what was on the car when it was decommissioned some 40 years ago.
I think this may have been discussed recently on the other forum.

Lonnie,

The one from B&G is the one to get. Perfect fit.

Brown and Gammons works very well for me with the Bonnet Rest Rubber.

Right profile.

I ordered this rubber part last Sunday on line from B & G. It arrived in the mail Saturday in Oregon. Fast!
This part so superior in profile from what I bought from Moss a couple of years ago.
