Penrite 20/60. You can buy it by Lerner. Kind regards Klaus |

Hi Klaus,
I don't understand your question (what is "Lerner"?) But I have a comment about the oil. The photo by WHTroyer is almost the same as the oil I use in my road TC, my Jag X300 and my wife's Merc. The only difference is that it says 15W-60 on the package we get here in Australia. It used to be marked "semi-synthetic" but is now labelled "full-synthetic". I think it is a great oil for the XPAG engine. Penrite is an Australian company. One of the Dymond family, which owns Penrite (and drives a Lola/Climax) is one of my close rivals in historic racing. The only reason I don't use Penrite in my race TC is that I have been using Mobil 1 5W-50 in the car since 1995 and the engine is still competitive after 22 years of racing! .... I am not keen to change anything! Bob Schapel |

Hi Bob
Lerner is a german well sorted part supplierer without webside. Mr. Lerner has former been a franchise of ANGLOPARTS - https://www.angloparts.com/en/home. Mr. Lerner gets the most parts from Great Britain but doesn't take $8 for a 3/4 " circlip. He drives a TC. Here in Germany exists a forum named "Motor Talk". One of the most posted threads is about motor oil with more than 24.000.000 entries! https://www.motor-talk.de/forum/welches-motoroel-t230315.html But I'm impressed that you use a modern syntetic oil like Mobil1 and that you have such good experience. How many times has your engine been dismantled and inspected? Until now for me it was state of the art to use a mineralic oil with a high part of zink. Don't let us fullfill 25.000.000 entries here ;-) . |
